Short-term Revival

Sometimes I look at my blog and feel guilt.

'Cos I haven't posted anything in a long long long long time.

So here are some photos from one of my favourite eateries, Gobi Desserts (:

Strangely, I don't quite fancy their boxed set of mini desserts, but some of their in-house ones are pretty good.

P.S. They serve gooooood food.

Here's some of what we had:

Iced tea, which comes with every set. Add your own amount of sugar syrup (: I like it unsweetened.

Ratatouille in rolls, good for the vegetarian in you.

Aglio olio w bacon.

Miso fish set lunch. The fish is bursting with juices, tender, and topped with bonito flakes. Very good (:

Mushroom penne set lunch. Not overly creamy. Let me add that the salad is a nice mix of greens (not just your usual boring lettuce), and the tomato soup was thick and tangy. (The soup might change seeing how its the soup-of-the-day).

Strawberry mille-feuille. Half cream, half custard. Its good, till you try the plain one.

(Normal) Mille-feuille. All custard. SO GOOD. Too sinful though.

Crepes.

Berries compote inside! Sweet and sour... With meringue every layer (: If you don't like sour much, skip this.

Creme brulee with pear..

Blackforest cake. This tasted more chocolate cake than blackforest, so wasn't impressive.

If you get the opportunity, try the gigantic ferrero roche lookalike thing (I can't quite remember the name), its chocolate meringue filled with melted chocolate, and icecream on the side. Its fantastic, and sometimes not offered (sold out?).

Yum!

Gobi currently has a set-lunch promo at $14.80 (I think), which includes a main (choose from three), a soup, salad, side, and drink. Pretty good for value, and the proportions are just nice. Two can then share a dessert, which concludes a great meal.

Its located at Suntec City (level one) by the way, near the convention centre. It doesn't seem to be mentioned on Gobi's website. Give it a try!
